Concrete Patios & Slabs
Level, crack-resistant patios and foundation slabs
Who It Is For
Patios and slabs are right for you if:
- You want a durable outdoor living space
- You need a level pad for a shed, garage, or outbuilding
- You are building a pool deck or outdoor kitchen
- You need a foundation slab for a room addition or commercial structure
Who It Is Not For
Patios and slabs may not be right if:
- You want a highly decorative surface — see our stamped and stained concrete page
- Your soil is severely unstable and needs extensive engineered fill before any pour
- You need a slab for a heated/cooled interior space — see our flooring and tile page
What It Is
What Is Patios & Slabs?
A concrete patio or slab is a flat, level concrete surface poured over a properly prepared sub-base. Patios are typically 4 inches thick with a broom or trowel finish. Foundation slabs may be thicker depending on the load they will carry.
The key to a patio or slab that does not crack or settle is the prep underneath — excavation, compaction, and grading. That is why we handle the dirt work and the concrete.
